Not too keen on the storyline about Greg last week and this week. Hope there is no more to it next week!!
I'm SO PLEASED that Freda has come back. I've missed her......such a good character!
As for Elizabeth....I wish she would cheer up a bit.
I don't know what has happened to Holby lately....I think maybe there are different writers, as there seems to be a lot more personal story lines going on than there used to be. And when they drag them on for weeks on end, I get really bored sometimes.
I prefer the old way it was written, with more "doctor, nurse, patient on wards".
Mind you, I suppose we have to move with the times, like everything else. Hospitals have changed....nurses uniforms no longer look like uniforms with no caps, and nurses are called by first names....never heard of years ago when I did some training. The doctors had to look at your name label behind the bib of your apron to find out your name then!!!!
There were no "Nurses Stations" for nurses to gather and chatter, we were out on the wards, always finding something to busy ourselves with, in case Sister came out of her office and caught us idle.
In real life, nurses are trained at university now, instead of in a hospital, and when they get on the wards, they don't seem to have as much time for the patients....thinking they are still at university, and have to do paperwork, instead of being available at once when a patient calls.
