They arrive with officers specially trained for this purpose, and question Carla. After a while, Frank lets himself in, as if nothing had happened, and denies that he has raped Carla. The police arrest him.
Peter had been trying to call Carla, and on seeing the police, goes to Carla's place, but is told he is not needed. Before, he tells Leanne that he must go and pay a tenner back to Ken. On getting back to Leanne again, he tells her about Carla, and Leanne is not pleased, as he had lied to her about where he was going.
Carla is taken to a unit to be examined, and afterwards questioned in a video room, before being allowed home with Maria.
Meanwhile, Frank is put into a cell....later questioned, and again denies that a rape had taken place. He says that they had made love and he had gone out to get her favourite tandori.
He was then released.
When Carla was told of this, she says that it was because she had not fought back hard enough to avoid it, as Maria had done earlier in the year when Frank tried the same with her.
